Gardasil is no sure fire protection

Hilary Butler - Saturday, June 12, 2010

Drs Hazel Lewis and John Holmes from the Ministry of Health (MOH), took an opportunity in the Herald letters to the editor to “swipe” an article called “Jab no surefire protection”  which they maintain undermines an important health initiative. Never mind that the article was based on a Ministry of Health press release, and gave no negative information about the Gardasil vaccine itself. Reading it, I thought that the MOH would be delighted at the meek compliance of it all. Not so. This MOH whine actually joins the ranks of “pillock” status, because the article was rightly addressing what many published medical studies show and the MOH had identified – that most people vaccinated with Gardasil, think they don’t need smears.  Continue Reading

Numbskull obstetrics in Albania

Hilary Butler - Thursday, May 27, 2010

Just when you think sanity might prevail, and you write a blog about one doctor with a brain, everything implodes. I decided to do a pubmed search, just to double check when stem cells were first found in cord blood. The answer to that is around 2000 if you count the lag to publish. Then I did a check on third stage cord clamping management, and came across this 2010 article, which exemplifies everything I dislike about obstetric practice in 2010. Continue Reading

Wait to clamp umbilical cord, study says

Hilary Butler - Wednesday, May 26, 2010

Hurrah, a doctor finally sees the blindingly obvious! In a study entitled “Wait to clamp umbilical cord, study says” Paul R. Sanberg from South Florida College of Medicine, is the first person I know of, who has finally published what I’ve been saying for years. Which equates to “Don't clamp the newborn’s umbilical cord!” His reason is that cord blood gives the baby its first infusion of stem cells which could help regenerate any underdeveloped organs.  And do a whole heap of other things too.  I’m glad he said that. But here’s my problem. Why didn’t all these medical people who have called cord blood “medical waste” and set up cord banks specifically to save those stem cells, see that? Isn’t it somewhat blindingly obvious? My first published article on delaying cord clamping was in the New Zealand Home Birth Magazine which was then reproduced in the New Zealand Association of Midwives Newsletter. An American magazine called “Mothering” published it in 1986. 24 years ago. My second “rant” on this topic was last year, as part of a talk. Continue Reading

Ignrance is not bliss: serious Hepatitis B vaccine questions

Hilary Butler - Wednesday, April 28, 2010

Recently, I was contacted by a young woman about to complete her midwifery qualifications.  She had delivered a baby whose young mother was a hepatitis B carrier.  This young aspiring midwife had recently returned a negative blood test for Hepatitis B antibodies,  Immediately, concerns had been raised that she may have been exposed to surface antigen from the baby's skin. I started asking questions, like, "Well, was this young mother vaccinated?" and... "Was she just surface antigen positive, or was she core antigen positive and therefore actively infectious?" then... "What information were you given to prove that hepatitis B surface antigen is littered all over this baby's skin?" and..  "Were you vaccinated with the Hepatitis B vaccine?" Continue Reading

Flu vaccines and real prevention

Hilary Butler - Thursday, April 08, 2010

The medical system knows that the flu data is misleading, but that doesn’t matter. They will do each other a good turn at every possible opportunity. So Professor Robert Scragg, who co-authored this paper which shows that vitamin D deficiency is the driver  as to whether or not anyone gets influenza at all, isn’t going to stand up and say, “Don’t worry about the flu vaccine. Just make sure your doctor prescribes 12 wee vitamin D tablets, which will cost you $3.20 at the pharmacy, and you take one a month. This will stop you getting the flu.” But no. See, Dr Scragg is immovably pro-vaccine. Though I’d be surprised if he takes the annual flu vaccine. Continue Reading

Collateral Damage; The vulnerable pay the price

Hilary Butler - Wednesday, April 07, 2010

People with any brains, can see, when they are told that ordinary flu kills 400 New Zealanders every year, that 20 deaths from swine flu is chickenfeed. They also wonder why it was only last year, that steps were taken in medical practices to stop people with "influenza like illnesses", from infecting everyone else, while they sit in the waiting room. Some even asked the question as to whether there were ONLY 20 deaths because doctors, for once, applied common sense in waiting rooms! Perhaps the other 280 deaths were caused by medical neglect. Which isn’t too far fetched given the number of medical papers I have which show that doctors waiting rooms and hospitals is where you want to go if you feel the need to pick up something which you didn’t have before, but need, to get sick, so that you can legitimize a few days off work. Continue Reading

When influenza flu data mongering backfires

Hilary Butler - Tuesday, April 06, 2010

Here’s where their stupid data-mongering went wrong. Because they have repeatedly lied about flu deaths by simple multiplication and adding in deaths from a whole swathe of viruses that have nothing to do with the flu when there is actually only a handful of real flu deaths in the country every year, they weren’t able to admit that actually, the swine flu WAS worse than the ordinary flu. They were hung by the petard of their own lies. Continue Reading

The Autism Great Divide: Blind conformity of mindsets

Hilary Butler - Sunday, April 04, 2010

This study is the latest marvelous words of wisdom from the medical profession who have decided that the increase in autism can’t possibly ... really .... be due to any specific virus, toxicity or any other moronic idea from people whose kids have regressed after vaccination .... or whose mother's bodies were loaded to the hilt during pregnancy with epigenetic toxins some of which prescribed, administered and approved of by the medical profession… oh no. Heaven forbid… the reason… . Continue Reading

Measles on Hysteria Street.

Hilary Butler - Friday, April 02, 2010

Yesterday, in the Far North, Dr Jonathan Jarman had high blood pressure because he feared that 28 cases of measles in the last two months, in pakeha homeschooling, alternative life stylers in Hokianga, could trigger measles cases and deaths left, right and centre. His advice to health workers was to bail up everyone unvaccinated, born after 1969, and shoot’em up with an MMR vaccine, and to rope in anyone who hadn’t had an MMR, and see to it that they were injected. Not in that kind of language, but given information passed on from Kerikeri, the hard word tactics have already started.  Continue Reading

Vaccine Awareness: do you need to be bribed?

Hilary Butler - Tuesday, March 16, 2010

Regarding your article “cash lure to be vaccinated”.

Either Paul Hutchison has been misinformed, or has misinformed you.

The payment Australian parents receive isn’t a “cash lure”. The key words are “without good reason”.

Any Australian parent who makes an active choice NOT to vaccinate and has a filed objection, receives any of the “incentives” or “payments” related to immunization, that those who chose to vaccinate also receive. To suggest that if you don’t vaccinate, you don’t get the incentives, totally undermines the concept of a right to chose, and democratic right to say no without punitive measures taken against you. Australia has recognized this, but the question is, would Paul Hutchison?

Sincerely,

Hilary Butler.  Continue Reading
