New Zealand Herald's usual Flu propaganda

Hilary Butler - Saturday, July 21, 2012

Today, the Herald printed it's usual annual flu propaganda (I've removed the URL) and a private email to the reporters who put their names to it, was returned. The Herald doesn't allow enough words on the comment facility to deal with the issues, and they only want videos or photos, not facts. Therefore, this blog will address the issues.

A few voices are waking up to the fact that...

Hilary Butler - Saturday, May 28, 2011

.... that aluminium in vaccines just might not be all it's cracked up to be. Will your child be next?  What will it take for parents to start to realise that the line they are being sold - that vaccines are perfectly safe, and wonderful...is basically "lies by omission"? The medical system can't say they don't know.  All the evidence has been there for decades.  Parents need to understand the concept of "willful ignorance", because that's the fundamental core of the Vaccine Industry, and those who are in their pay - even if they feebly protest that they are not - even if they say that all they care about is healthy children.  This is the problem... willful... hidebound ... head in the: Continue Reading

World's first Orwell "Truth Department" award goes to....

Hilary Butler - Saturday, May 21, 2011

.... the editor of the Waikato Times.  Seriously, there isn't one, but if there was one, I'd award it to him for unethically butchered a letter of mine, to make it read the opposite of what I meant.  Perhaps this is the new trend to dissuade thinkers from voicing opinions!  I mean, if you KNOW something you write will be completely butchered and made unrecognizably, you'll definitely hesitate to write another one in the future, wouldn't you?  So here's what happened.  In the Waikato Times, on 11 May, was this letter: Continue Reading

IMAC's new minions

Hilary Butler - Monday, May 02, 2011

This morning, "Littlies" sent out the following IMAC propaganda email below, to all the people who sign up for Littlies monthly emails and promotional stuff for kids (Highlighting and comments mine). It would seem that like parliament, Littlies has utterly failed to understand the principle and rights of parents to have informed choice.   Continue Reading

Carte blanche Feudal thuggery

Hilary Butler - Sunday, May 01, 2011

The Guardian today, produced a scrappy piece of journalism here, under the heading "Herbal remedies banned as EU rule takes effect." Whatever the actualities of what herbals will survive, and what is banned, is a much deeper  issue. The voices of the skeptical comments supporting only big pharma, fall into two categories.  The intolerant, who wouldn't know a fact if they saw one, and the "same old" spanish inquisitors, who are employed by someone to bully, snarl at, and smear anyone who is not a big pharma worshipper.  Their mantra is that "only" science understands what is good for you.  "Only" science is reliable.  "Only" science can cure you.  It's astonishing the depths of ignorance they reveal, yet... they have no idea.  Like" rebecca rabbit" who scoffed, "When was the last time a doctor told you to ... starve a fever and feed a cold?" Continue Reading

Nikki Turner's Science Friction

Hilary Butler - Thursday, April 28, 2011

Following on from yesterday's blog about Paul Offit's Science Friction, .. today's blog is about how Nikki Turner's presentations to the Parliamentary Select Committee are tainted with the same "blight".  Part of Paul Hutchison's recommendations to Parliament included Nikki Turner's unfactual statement (under her IMAC guise) that if vaccination against measles stopped, New Zealand would see 5,000 to 6,000 measles hospitalisation and 20 - 60 deaths per year. A pretty spectacular statement when the medical literature (and Starship hospital policy) makes it so clear that complications and deaths can be radically reduced with vitamin A.  In this upload, you will see IMAC's measles claims, and following that, you will see the death decline graph for New Zealand. Following on from that you will see....   Continue Reading

Paul Offit's Science Friction

Hilary Butler - Monday, April 25, 2011

The subject of a previous blog on Paul Offit, was his porkies in his new book "Deadly choices" Dr Offit has authored another document, where, amongst various dictatorial objectives, he wants to force yearly "exemption reviews" by a "state-approved counselor" (inquisitor/brainwasher), to brow-beat parents who chose not to vaccinate - who will no doubt then be billed by the state.  Because such birds of a feather flock together, it wasn't surprising to see that Nikki Turner made a similar recommendation to the Parliamentary Select Committee.  As you see from Offit's darling dial staring at you from this press release, this new document is HIS work. There are other signatories, but you can forget them.  This is classic Offitism, written in the same tone and vein as all his books, and true to form contains similar fiction. Open up at page two and read: Continue Reading

Ministry of Health seriously misled the Immunisation Select Committee

Hilary Butler - Wednesday, April 06, 2011

This is the first in a series of blogs on this topic. This one is a long blog but you need to read it very carefully.  You need to understand exactly how the information provided by the MOH to Dr Hutchison is so misleading and the implications of that for the whole debate.   Continue Reading

How doctors don't think.

Hilary Butler - Tuesday, October 26, 2010

In his book, "How Doctor's Think", Dr Jerome Groopman describes an ultrasound doctor, who detects in a baby, inside a woman 5 weeks from giving birth, a strange shaped space inside the baby's brain which should look like a tear-drop with sharp edges, but just doesn't look quite right.  Not badly wrong, but just not quite right. Because the shape is pretty near normal, she almost doesn't tell the mother.  Two things change her mind. She wants to protect any obstetrician from being charged with causing damage to a baby, should it turn into something significant... and she also thinks parents should know in advance in case they need to consider the realities of bringing up a damaged child. The mother has an MRI, and a brain haemorrhage in the baby is discovered, so the birth is attended by paediatric neurologists.  Continue Reading

Voices and choices

by Peter Butler

Hilary Butler - Wednesday, September 22, 2010

When I wrote our home education curriculum it incorporated what I consider an essential foundation stone. A lifestyle must surely include the integration of every aspect of daily living. You cannot put different issues into little boxes with an appropriate label, and then apply differing standards and values to their implementation. To do so will produce inconsistencies, double standards and hypocrisy. The societal attitudes of the present day however, would suggest that this need not be too much of a concern. After all, absolutes seem to have little impact on many people’s lives because the “Absolute” Himself has been dethroned, relegated to a back seat, completely ignored or completely forgotten, leaving the “marvels” of secular humanism to solve the world’s problems. I believe that all of life issues have their answers in the one and only Creator and Saviour God. I respect anyone’s right to disagree with this, but if so, with what will it be replaced? Continue Reading
