“Don’t let the world around you squeeze you into its own mould, but let God re-mould your minds from within...”
Romans 12:2

Sites of interest to be added to regularly

This page has all sorts of resources.  Blogs I like, vaccine supporters' websites, vaccine critics websites, links to medical research websites, medical dictionaries etc - all the sorts of places you would need to help become more educated about what vaccines there are, why they are promoted, and why people disagree.  Vaccination in New Zealand is a choice, and in order to make a choice, you have to know all the information.

International Sites run by Vaccine supporters and promoters:

New Zealand:

New Zealand Public Health Surveillance: http://www.surv.esr.cri.nz/surveillance/surveillance.php

(This is the website you should become most conversant with. Keep up with the various surveillance reports if you want to know what laboratories are reporting in terms of disease rates)

2008 National Immunisation Schedule and book: http://www.moh.govt.nz/moh.nsf/pagesmh/7723/$File/41466_NatImmSched_Web.pdf

This page is the core page, and can lead you to other links: http://www.moh.govt.nz/moh.nsf/indexmh/immunisation-schedule-html

This is the 2008 health provider handbook: http://www.esr.cri.nz/SiteCollectionDocuments/ESR/PDF/CommunicableDisease/2008-national-immunisation-booklet-08.pdf

New Zealand Immunisation Handbook: http://www.moh.govt.nz/moh.nsf/indexmh/immunisation-handbook-2011

Lists of ther MOH publications relating to vaccination: http://www.moh.govt.nz/immunisation This page is the MOH e-learning resources for various medical groups. You can't have a look, since you have to log in! http://learnonline.health.nz/course/category.php?id=6 I think it's pretty telling that the general public aren't "able" to have a look - or at the very least, the website makes no mention of that, other than some courses might enable "guest" access. Pathetic.

New Zealand Family Doctor: www.familydoctor.co.nz/

New Zealand vaccine reaction reporting:

If you or your child has a reaction, DO NOT rely on your doctor, nurse or anyone else to report your reaction.

Go to the Centre for Adverse Reactions Monitoring and download the vaccine reaction form. Do not JUST supply the form alone. Put together a detailed email or word document, and tell them everything that happened.

Set your email programme to deliver a receipt when the CARM website receives it, and another when the email is opened.

Ask for acknowledgement of the documents, as well as the CARM number for your case. If more than one reaction is reported (one after each of three injections) there should be three separate numbers allocated.

Regarding "choice":

This is where you can find key letters by the American Academy of Pediatrics to be given to parents who chose not to vaccinate. Note their term “Refusal to Vaccinate.” http://www.cispimmunize.org/pro/pro_main.html?

Amazing how choice becomes a mockery: http://www.cispimmunize.org/pro/ParentalRefusaltoVaccinate.html

The old 2002 letter, which no longer appears on the AAP website, can still be found here: http://www.epractis.com/Forms/RefusalToVaccinate.pdf If it disappears, I will put it on Beyond Conformity, as I have a pdf copy of it, as well as a more recent mofication, which resulted in so many protests that it was removed from AAP’s website, but it’s important to know about this sort of tactice, since it’s likely to become more commonplace.

(July 2010 - It disappeared, as predicted)

Beyond conformity AAP letter/policy archive:

2002

2002 Amended

2008

2010

Refusal to vaccinate AAP Policy

Refusal to vaccinate AllStar policy

There will come a point where New Zealand goes this way, at which time I will update this section.

Blogs/places I really like:

Inside Vaccines. An anonymous group building interesting article, with good references. www.insidevaccines.com

Vaccination Research and Resources: http://www.vacvine.com/

Vaccination News http://www.vaccinationnews.com/ one of the best internet collections of long term information.

Passionless Drone. Now, here's a skeptic of a different sort. This person appears to want to put brain into gear: For an introduction into following a thinking trend, this is a pretty good attempt:

http://passionlessdrone.wordpress.com/

Sanevax.org http://sanevax.org/news-blog/ These people have pretty much seen the issues for what they are.

books of interest:

A Stolen Life” by Marge Grant. This book is a must read, because it puts the whole of the vaccine scene into context.
Stolen Innocence” by John Batt. This is a must read, because it shows what can happen when the medical profession and legal system collude to pervert the course of justice.

"Bodily Matters"by Nadja Durbach. This book came out of her university thesis, and is a well referenced eye-opener for people who say that the antivaccine movement was founded by stupid ill informed people.  Except not too many of them would read it perhaps. A historical must read.
